AFSC joined conference call with the Administration's Office of Business Affairs and Public Liaison, for a another discussion on Social Security. Discussed was the fourth in the series of Social Security briefs from the Treasury Department, entitled "Social Security Reform: Mechanisms for Achieving True Pre-Funding" (PDF). The brief focuses on ways to make Social Security reform fair to future generations.
"Fortunately, the Office of Business Affairs and Public Liaison realize the urgency of Social Security Reform as they continue to discuss solving the problems and how future generations will be affected." commented Denise Singleton, President of American Federation of Senior Citizens. She continued, "Now, if only we could get Members of the Senate and House of Representatives to engage in real discussions over Social Security Reform without eliminating a solution before it is fully vetted."
