AFSC joined conference call with the Administration's Office of Business Affairs and Public Liaison, for a discussion on Social Security with Phillip Swagel, Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy. Assistant Secretary Swagel discussed the third in a series of Social Security briefs from the Treasury Department, entitled "Social Security Reform: Benchmarks for Assessing Fairness and Benefit Adequacy" (PDF). The brief focuses on ways to assess fairness and benefit adequacy in a financially sustainable Social Security system.
